Terms of Use

These terms describe use of the Bearwerks workout-tracking app and website provided by Bearwerks, LLC. They should be read with our Privacy Policy and Safety & Disclaimer.

Who Bearwerks is for

Bearwerks is intended for teens and adults, not children under 13. If you are below the age of legal adulthood where you live, a parent or legal guardian should review these terms and authorize your use and any purchases where required.

TestFlight beta testing

The current Bearwerks TestFlight beta is invitation-only and limited to adults in the United States. Beta software is unfinished and may contain errors, change, expire, or become unavailable. Back up your data before installing or updating a beta, and do not rely on it as the only copy of important records. Participation does not guarantee a public release, future features, or continued access.

Use of TestFlight is also subject to Apple’s TestFlight Terms and Conditions. See our Privacy Policy for information about beta feedback, crash reports, and usage information.

Workout tracking and safety

Bearwerks records the training information you enter. It does not provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, verify technique, or provide individualized training supervision. You choose your exercises, weights, repetitions, durations, and programming. Recorded progress and personal records do not guarantee results. Read the Safety & Disclaimer before training.

Your data, backups, and shared files

Your workout data is stored locally on your device. Bearwerks does not currently operate a workout-data cloud-sync backend. Keep backups before replacing a device, deleting the app, clearing its data, or restoring a backup. Bearwerks cannot recover local records that it has not received.

You choose whether to export and share exercise or workout files (.bws), backups (.bwk), or diagnostic logs. Only share content you have the right to share. Review files received from others before importing or using them. Sharing a workout does not make it advice or an endorsement from Bearwerks.

You retain your rights in your own training content. Using the app does not transfer ownership of that content to Bearwerks. Information deliberately submitted to support is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

Respectful and lawful use

Use the app, website, and support forms lawfully. Do not submit malicious files, spam, threats, or content that infringes someone else's rights. Do not attempt unauthorized access to the website or interfere with its operation. These terms do not restrict rights that applicable law gives you.

App licenses and intellectual property

The Bearwerks name, logos, app design, and website materials belong to Bearwerks, LLC or their respective owners. Your rights in your own content remain yours. Third-party components may have separate license terms.

For the iOS App Store release, the app license will be governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement. These website and service terms supplement that agreement and do not replace it or change the rights it grants. TestFlight participation is subject to Apple’s separate TestFlight terms. Applicable license terms for any future Android release will be provided before distribution.

Purchases and subscriptions

Subscription plans, pricing, included features, and any trial or free-use limits are not yet finalized. No particular offer is promised by this page.

If subscriptions are offered, review the purchase screen for the price, billing period, renewal conditions, and any trial terms before confirming. An auto-renewing subscription continues according to the terms shown at purchase unless canceled through the store that bills you. The store's purchase terms and applicable consumer rights also apply.

For cancellation, refund guidance, or help with paid access, visit Subscriptions & Billing support. Deleting the app does not replace canceling a subscription. Refund eligibility depends on the store, purchase, location, and applicable law.

RevenueCat is not installed in the current app. Bearwerks plans to use it for future subscription infrastructure and will update the Privacy Policy before enabling the integration. That plan does not mean workout history is automatically sent to RevenueCat.

Availability and consumer rights

Software may contain errors or be temporarily unavailable. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every device, or particular training outcomes. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, guarantees, remedies, or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Changes to these terms

The effective date above identifies this version. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law. A change to this page does not override mandatory consumer rights or the purchase terms that apply to an existing transaction.
